Beverly R. Ewan’s interest in publishing started in Junior High School as a junior editor for the school’s magazine. Beverly is a graduate (with honors) of New York City College of Technology. Her passion for crafting stories was born in High School as a result of the articles written for the school's magazine. Beverly developed valuable leadership and community service capabilities during her 19 year career in the banking industry, working her way up from customer service to management, with companies such as JP Morgan Chase.
While recuperating from a serious illness in 1996 Beverly discovered she could be of service the community by volunteering at her son’s elementary school (PS 87 Bronx, NY). Beverly served as Yearbook Editor and her
volunteer work with the PTA was instrumental in developing the schools
first year book. Beverly became a Certified Parent Volunteer/Tutor with Learning Leaders and played a key role with the organization for more than 3 years.
In 2005 Beverly and Jacquelyn Cauthen, who was also a member of the PS 87 community decided to form Bronx Wholistic Network. This was in response to the need to provide the Bronx community, but women in particular with information from experience Professionals regarding Fitness, Health & Wealth.
Beverly is married and lives in Bronx, NY with two of three children. She likes to read, watch TV, attends Church, Plays and Concerts. In 2006 a delightful bundle of joy weighing only 1.3lbs was added to her family. Baby Riley was born 15 weeks premature and given a 30% chance to survive. In April Beverly organized family members to join Walk America (March of Dimes) and the small but vocal group (Bronx Walkers) proudly walked eight miles and raised money and awareness for all premature babies like Riley and his cousin MJ also born 15 weeks premature in 2005. She continues to support Walk America each year as well as Soft Power Health and Kiva because of the work each organization does in developing countries.
